Last Sunday was proclaimed Shaarey Zedek Day by Mayor
Louis C. Miriani, in honor of the groundbreaking of the con-
gregation's new synagogue that morning and the commence-
ment by the synagogue of its centennial year. At the presenta-
tion of the proclamation of Shaarey Zedek Day, at the City
Hall, were, from the left: Abraham Satovsky, president of
Shaarey Zedek; Rabbi Morris Adler, Mayor Miriani, Dr. Samuel
Krohn and Hyman Safran.
More than 600 people attended the impressive ground.
