One of Windsor's pioneer Jew-
ish residents and leading mer-
chant, Peter Meretsky, 1525 Duf-
ferin, died May 16. He was 83.
Surviving are his wife, Fanny;
four sons, Daniel, Gabriel, Harry
and Irving; six daughters,-Norma,
Mrs. Lillian Whitsel, Mrs. Doris
Brasch, Mrs. Belle Leiderman,
Mrs. Ruth Mock and Mrs. Sylvia
Strosberg; a brother, David; a
sister, Mrs. Joshua Gitlin; and
18 grandchildren.
