Druggists' Wives Plan Cabaret Night
in Behalf of State of Israel Bonds

LEADERS OF THE WOMEN'S auxiliaries of the pharma-
ceutical societies planning the Israel Cabaret Night, scheduled
for May 28 at the Crystal Room of the Sheraton Cadillac Hotel
on behalf of State of Israel Bonds, are (from left) Mesdames
Pearl Kutnick, member, Supreme Council of Rho Pi Phi; Meyer
Robiner, president, Aesculapian. Ladies Auxiliary; Nathan Pack,
president, Alpha Zeta Omega auxiliary, and Stanley Elkiss, pres-
ident, Rho Pi Phi auxiliary. The program will star Phil Lind,
headliner of the Linde Brothers, and "Renee," known as the
Jewish-American Songbird. Dancing and refreshments also
will be featured.

United Hebrew Schools Summer
Plans Include Hebrew for Adults

A five - week concentrated
course in Hebrew for adults
will be given by the Adult
Studies Department, of the
United Hebrew Schools this
summer.
The twelve- hour-a-week
course in Hebrew language will
be given 9-12 a.m. Monday
through Thursday at the Kasle
Hebrew High School-Midrasha
Building, Schaefer and Seven
Mile Rds.

Selma Fraiberg Gets
Wayne State IT._
Alumni Citation

Selma Horwitz Fraiberg, au-
thor and associate professor at
the Tulane School of Social
Work, was presented the Wayne
State University Alumni Award
Citation for her work in the
problems of emotionally and
psychologically disturbed chil-
dren.
University President Clarence
B. Hilberry made the presenta-
tion at the 93rd Alumni Re-
union •held recently.
In Detroit; in former years,
Mrs. Fraiberg has worked as a
casework supervisor for the
Family. Service Society, the
Jewish Children's Bureau and
the Veterans Administration, as
consultant, lecturer, leader of
institutes; as a teacher at Wayne
State University and the Uni-
versity of Michigan. Author of
30 papers and the award win-
ning book "The Magic Years,"
she has gained national recog-
nition in the fields of child
psychiatry and social work.
Mrs. Fraiberg is married to
Dr. Louis Fraiberg, an associ-
ate professor of English at
Louisiana State University.
They have one child, Lisa, and
make their home in New Or-
leans. Mrs. Fraiberg is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Horwitz, 24350 Jerome, Oak
Park.
