MISS MARCIA LIPSKY

Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Lip-
sky of Mark Twain Ave. an-
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Marcia; to Eugene
Applebaum, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Applebaum of
Broadstreet Blvd.
The future bridegroom is a
graduate of Wayne State Uni-
versity's College of Pharmacy.
He is affiliated with Sigma
Alpha Mu and Alpha Zeta
Omega fraternities. A May 30
wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Goodman of Mendota Ave. arrived in
Israel April 30. The Goodmans were the 999th and 1000th pas-
sengers booked to Israel by the Jules Doneson Travel Agency,
and were received at Lod airport by representatives of BOAC
and the Israel Government Tourist Corp.
Mrs. Florence Agree of the Jules Doneson Travel Agency
is presently in Europe, touring through Italy, Switzerland, and
France.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Albert Sugar arrived in Spain last week
where they joined the Dr. H. Saul Sugars for a Madrid holiday.
The Albert Sugars will continue on to Israel, Greece, Austria,
Italy, Holland and London before returning home.
The Sherman Family Club will meet 8:30 p.m. Sunday at
the home of Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Sherman, 18114 Warrington.
The Gussin Family Club will meet Sunday night at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fagin; 19145 Coyle, to discuss plans for
the summer picnic.
Dr. and Mrs. Ted Winshall, 17210 James Couzens, are in
Boston for the Bar Mitzvah of a nephew, Stephen Jay Goldin,
and a visit with their son, Walter, a student at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
- Mrs. Betty Fisher of Wisconsin Ave. and Mrs. Belle Fisher
of Ardmore Ave. are vacationing at the Majestic Hotel in Hot
Springs, Ark.
Mrs. Bee Kalt of the Bee Kalt Travel Service, Birmingham,
was a luncheon guest of the Canadian Pacific Steamship Line at
the launching of their newest vessel, the Empress of Canada, from
Montreal. In the afternoon, after a tour of Montreal, she paid a
visit to the new Queen Elizabeth Hotel for an inspection tour.
Dinner was served afterwards, courtesy of the hotel.
