JWV Activities

The public is invited to at-
tend the annual installation of
the OAK PARK POST and
AUXILIARY 8:30 p.m. Tuesday
at the Oak Park Community
Center. Mr. and Mrs. I. Binder,
husband and wife team, will be
inducted as Post commander
and Auxiliary president. Gerson
Marder, Department of Michi-
gan commander, and Mrs. A.
Rosen, Department of Michigan
president, will conduct investi-
ture services. Other Auxiliary
officers to be installed are Mes-
dames M. Zelanka, Sr. vice
president; M. Strumeyer, Jr.
vice president; H. Greenspan
and M. Samuel, secretaries; H.
Kirsh, chaplain; B. Rothstein,
patriotic instructress; J. Schecht-
man, treasurer; I. Zaks, con-
ductress; T. Bortnick, historian;
and E. Shusterman; J. Kagan
and S. Greenberg, trustees.

DUBLAJAYS will hold a
fashion show 1:30 p.m. Saturday
at the JWV Memorial Home. En-
titled "In the Good Old Summer-
time," the event will feature
prizes and refreshments.

DETROIT POST will hear from
its "Man in Washington," who
will tell about the National Exec-
utive Committee now being held
in the nation's capital, 8:30 p.m.
Monday at the JWV Memorial
Home. Also to be discussed are
plans for the Memorial Home,
Department elections and sum-
mer activities, according to Com-
mander Morris Simon.

AUXILIARY will hold a lunch-
eon-meeting noon Wednesday at
the home of President Mrs. Dor-
othy Blatnikoff. Poppies will be
distributed for Poppy Day sale.

newly-elected- officers at formal
ceremonies Tuesday at 0 a k

commander of the post is Sonny
Binder. Garson Zeltzer is senior
vice-commander; Harold Strauss,
junior vice-commander; William

Tarien, adjutant; and H. Kahn,

As part of its Americaniza-
tion program, the post partici-
pated in naturalization proce-
dures at Pontiac Courthouse
