YOUNG ISRAEL OF NORTHWEST: Sabbath services 7:20 p.m.
today. At 9 a.m. services Saturday, the Bar Mitzvah of
Yisrael Arye Prero will be observed: Rabbi Samuel H. Prero
will speak on "Guiding Our Children."
TEMPLE BETH EL: "The Message of the Hebrew Prophets and
Sages of Israel in Words and Songs" will be discussed by
Dr. Richard C. Hertz at 8:30 p.m. services today when the
Annual Jewish Music Festival will be observed. Dr. Hertz
will preach on "Ben-Gurion: The Lion of Judah" at 11:15
a.m. services Saturday. The Bar Mitzvah of Peter David

be observed Sunday by the
students of Cong. Beth Shalom
Religious School, Oak Park.
The Parent-Teachers Organiza-
tion will combine its annual
spring meeting with this event,
which will include Hebrew
songs, dances, skits and a
parade.

Campaign Cabinet Is
Formed by Yeshivah

More than 30 prominent com-
munity leaders this week at-
tended a Yeshivath Beth Yehuda
"Campaign Cabinet" meeting to
plan the "Save Beth Yehuda"
drive to be launched with a din-
ner on May 8.
Mapping the fund-raising are
David J. Cohen, chairman of the
Yeshivah -board of directors, and
Rabbi Joseph Elias, principal. A
goal of $150,000, "to wipe out
the deficit that has accumulated
over the years," has been set.
According to Cohen, once_ the
debt is eliminated, the school
will be able to operate at top
efficiency on its normal income.
