After the war, he met Adam Gurion at a party in Jerusalem where they decided to form a quartet with two friends. The quartet broke up when Adam went to Tel Aviv to study panto- mime, but Ben soon folloWed him to the big city, and they were an instant success with their "new style" of quiet harmony. A successful seven-month en- gagement in Paris followed their Israel-wide acclaim, and they toured England, Scotland and Holland. , Adam was asked by famed pantomimist Marcel Mar- ceau to accompany his troup to the United States. The "Dudaim" arrived in the U.S. in October. They have recorded several albums in Sp a n i s h, English, French, Russian, Hebrew, and Greek, and are recording another album expressly for the Ameri- can audience. Feinberg went to Israel in 1947 when he was only 17. Dur- ing the Israeli War of Libera- tion he took part in building and fighting for the "Burma Road" which saved Jerusalem. Prior to the war he aided in bringing Jewish illegal immi- grants into Palestine, then un- der the British mandate. For a number of years Fein- berg served in the military in- telligence branch of the United States Army as a translator of Arabic. He speaks many Arabic dialects and = several foreign .languages.
