the minds of newsmen as they
covered the interrogation of
the latest witness.
The imposing committee room
grew tense as Klutznick was
asked about "prejudice" against
Arabs.
Not only did Klutznick reply
with solemn dignity as a proud
Jew; he conquered the commit-
tee, and its chairman, by his
diplomacy. Klutznick acknowl-
edged his religion and leader-
ship of Jewish groups. Natural-
ly, he was prepared to resign
various positions, like that of
chairman of Bnai Brith's Inter-
national Council and national
head of the United Jewish Ap-
peal. These posts might cause a
conflict of interest issue.
Klutznick told the committee
he was eager to work with
Arabs. Jews, Buddists, or any-
one else cooperating in the
United Nations Economic and
Social Council. He had no preju-
dice against Arabs; they were
cousins - of his ancestors. He

for his hostility. toward Israel.
The witness was Philip M.

Only a few days before, Sen.
Fulbright had referred sarcas-
tically to Israel while consider-
ing a new appointthent for
Murat Williams, former counse-
lor of the U.S. Embassy in Tel

tack on Ambassador Ogden
Reid was ruefully recalled by
Reid on his return here from
Israel.

The newly-opened Treasure
Key Spa in Miami Beach, Fla.,
has the only olympic-sized salt
water pool especially designed
for therapeutic treatments of
arthritis, rheumatism and cir-
culatory ailments.
The giant, temperature-con-
trolled therapeutic pool is
equipped with 21 therapizer-
jets, each aimed to ease specific
areas of aches and pains. It is
also equipped with an elevator
that lowers bathers to "batte-
ries" of submerged hot and cold
pulsating jets, and then raises
them so they can step easily out
of the pool.
Treasure Key Spa also has in-
dividual sunken Roman pools i
