ABE KASLE participate in planting of Kasle Family Forest in Israel. * * * .4> Expressing heartfelt satisfac- tion over the commencement of the planting of the Kasle Family Forest, in which he and Mrs. Kasle participated recently, Abe Kasle this week praised the work of the Jewish National Fund, under whose auspices the planting is being conducted. "As -you will note in the ac- companying picture, Mrs. Kasle and I actually planted seedlings in the Freedom Forest, in the plot of the State of Michigan, in the- hills of Jerusalem," -Kasle said. "This Forest is Di- cated on the new highway which is being built from Jerusalem to Beersheba." He' 'added: : "It is hard to describe the emotional feeling and the pride that Mrs. Kasle and I had for having lived to the day of actually planting the Kasle Family Forest. I urge families and fraternal groups to work towards the goal of deriving the satisfaction in their lifetime of planting forests, so that the land of Israel can be reclaimed and conserved for productive use." • was given by him and his fam- ily to JNF, as a boy, more than 60 years ago, by dropping coins in the JNF boxes, Kasle told of the place of honor he and his family gave to the JNF boxes in their homes. He re- called his first visit in Israel in 1952, and said that the follow-up visit he made with Mrs. Kasle introduced him more intimately to the Jewish Na- tional Fund. Women's Division of Workmen's Circle Holds Annual Donor Event The 24th annual Donor Lunch- eon of the Workmen's Circle Women's Division will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the W. C. Educational Center, 18340 W. Seven Mile Rd. The prograrn will be high- lighted by an address by Joseph Bernstein, manager of the Jewish Daily Forward in Detroit. There will also be greetings by Morris Becker, director of the Abraham Reisen School, and Joseph Heide- man, the Michigan representa- tive to the W. C. National Board of Directors. - - A musical program will fea- ture Detroit artist Shoshanna Freedman, accompanied by Bella Goldberg. A special program by the pupils of the Abraham Reisen School will be presented. Par- tidipating will be Harriet Gold- stein, Phyllis Harwick, Randy Heller, Pam Ovshinsky, Wendy Shifrin and Beth Yelensky. * * * Other WC events to be held this week include: Dr. Joan Chodorkoff will speak on "When Does Personality Be- come Fixed?" at the next meet- ing of WC Branch 1060, 9 p.m. Saturday at the Center. Currently working at Lafayette Clinic, Dr. Chodorkoff made a study of a group of infants from their days in the hospital nursery until they were three-months-old to attempt to determine if and when per- sonality aspects become consis- tent. * * * Workmen's Circle Branch 460-E will celebrate its 22nd an- niversary at a cocktail party Saturday evening at the Center.
