Hollywood Slates 'Home `Operation Eichmanii'

HOLLYWOOD — Adolf Eich-
mann will be portrayed in a
Hollywood movie by . Werner
Klemperer, the Cologne-b o r n
performer and son of conductor
Otto Klemperer who fled Ger-
many at the advent of Nazism.
The role originally . was of-
fered by Producers S a m u el
Bischoff and David Diamond to
Joseph Schildkraut and was de-
clined because the latter was
portraying the father of Arnold
Rothstein in "The Big Bank-
roll."
Rudolph Hoess will be enacted

in the "Operation Eichmann"
movie by John Banner, a Jew-
ish actor from Austria who had
escaped to Switzerland after the
Anschluss while his parents
were murdered in Auschwitz on
orders of commander Hoess
whom he is now portraying.
