in USO Anniversary

The American 'Jewish commu-
nity, through the National Jew-
ish Welfare Board, will take an
active part in USO's 20th anni-
versary to be marked Feb. 4
across the country by repre-
sentatives of the three faiths in
the U. S. and overseas. JWB
was one of the_founders of USO,
which has been serving military
personnel of all faiths since
World War II.

District Governors
to Convene Here

Nat H. Rappin, president of
District Grand Lodge No. 6 Bnai
Brith, announces the • annual
midwinter meeting of the Dis-
trict Board of Governors will be
held from Saturday night
through Monday afternoon at
the Sherafon-Cadillac Hotel.
Representing the 17 Council
areas, the Governors come from
the eight midwestern states and
four Canadian provinces which
make up the District Grand
Lodge.
Keynote speakers will be Dr.
William Wexler of Savannah,
Ga., national membership chair:
man; Edward Grusd of Washing-
ton, D. C., editor of the National
Jewish Monthly; Philip H. Mit-
chel of Chicago, a vice-president
of the Supreme Lodge of Bnai
Brith; and Harry Yudkoff ,
Detroit, Member -of the Supreme
Lodge Board .of , Governors.
Detroiters who will be parti-
cipating officially will be Milo
