to Establishing 'Hershman Chair'

The Bar-Ilan University annual
dfnner at Cabo Hall on Jan. 17
will be a community-wide event,
according to Tom Borman, chair-
man of the banquet committee.
The dinner is dedicated to the
establishment of the Dr. A. M.
Hershman chair in Jewish Studies
at Bar-Ilan University in Israel.

- PARIS, (JTA)—The Algerian
rebel organization, the FLN,
has accused Jewish community
leaders in Algeria of being "the
accomplices of the colonial
crimes now being committed in
our land," it was reported here.
The charge appeared in the
FLN newspaper, El Moudjahid,
which carried an article on
"The Constant Position of the
Algerian Revolution - with Re-
gard to the Jewish Minority." In
the article, the FLN asserted
that Algerian Jewish- leaders
had "deluded part of the Al-
Jewish community by in-
viting it not to take part in the
struggle for national libera-
tion."
