Name Rabbi Donin
to Join White House
Conference on Aging
Rabbi Hayim Donin, spiritual
leader of Cong. Bnai David has
been delegated to represent the
Rabbinical Council of America
at the Washington D.C. White
House Conference on Aging,
Monday through Thursday.
Called by President. Eisen-
hower and under the direction
of the Department of Health,
Education and Welfare, the. par-
ley will be composed of delega-
tions from each of the 50 states
appointed by their respective
governors, as well as from a se-
lect list of national organiza-
lions (religious, medical, welfare)
whO were given delegate status.
In addition to the general ses-
sions, Rabbi Donin has been as-
signed to the specific problem
area dealing with "The Role of
Religion in the Life of the Older
Person" and the "Role of the
Older Person in the Congrega-
tion."
Rabbi Donin has also planned
to meet with representatives of
other major national Jewish or
ganizations represented at t
conference.
