LITTLE DAREL MEYERS,
six-year-old son of Frances and
Sid Meyers, had been so per-
sistently naughty that Fran just
had to give him a good spank-

for revenge rankled in his little
breast . . . When bedtime final-
ly came, he said -his evening
prayer, asking a blessing on all
members of the family individ-
ually except one . . . When he
finished, little Darel turned to
his mother with a triumphant
look, saying as he climbed into

JUST RECENTLY, portrait
photographer Don Coville and
his lovely wife Helen gave a
birthday party for their three-
year-old son, Rod .. . Don as-
sembled a 40 power telescope,
trained it on the moon and let
Rod gaze upon his possible
future home site . . . After Rod
had peered through the lens
for a few seconds, Don asked
him what he thought of it .. .
Rod answered, "It's nice, daddy.
Now turn to a different chan-

SINCE HE WAS a youngster,
Kurt Bromet always had a secret
desire to own an electric train
As the years went by and
he married, Kurt waited for
the day he_and wife Lisa would
have a boy so he could get him
one . . . But fate deemed other-
wise and they have two daugh
ters . . However, his secret
desire has been fulfilled . . .
41-years-old now, Kurt finally
got his electric train . . . as a
Hanukah gift from Lisa.
RONNIE FELDSCHER, 15-
year-old son of Harry and Edith
Feldscher, is making sure he
achieves his life-long ambition
of going to college to become
an attorney . :. Ronnie has been
selling newspapers for a couple
of years and already has $650
saved toward his education .. .
He attends Mumford High and
recently almost quit his paper
route to make sure it didn't
interfere with his marks . .
But Harry and Edith encouraged
him to continue and still keep
up his grades, with the assur-
ance that they would match
whatever money he himself
saved.

TEL AVIV, (JTA)—The Soviet

the World Jewish Congres
Here to attend a mee of

signs of
possible easement o oviet Rus-
sia's attitude toward • ws in the
USSR.
Among the signs, he said, are
the permission for the building
of the new synagogue, the an-
nounced readiness by the Russian
Government to publish some Yid-
dish literature, and the request
recently made by Jewish writers
in Russia to publish a Yiddish
manual. These moves, Riegner
said, have encouraged Jewish
leaders to hope that "more posi-
tive developments may be anti-
cipated in the Soviet Union re-
garding- Jewish culture and re-
