ALLIANCE TIRE AND RUB-
BER CO., LTD., Israel's largest
producer of rubber tires, has in-
creased net saTeS $2,000,000 in
the first half of this fiscal year
and expects, according to its
board chairman Arthur Taub-
man, to double that figure by
March 1961. The increase of ap-
proximately 30% over last
year's sales will bring total net
sales to approximately $8,500,-
000 or 17,000,000 Israeli pounds.

New Prexies, Delegates
to Meet at Institute of
Community Council

Stanley J. Winkelman,' presi-
dent of the Jewish Community
Council, announces arrange-
ments have been completed for
the Annual Institute for New
Presidents and Delegates at 10
a.m. Jan. 8 at the Workmen's
Circle - Center.
The Institute program is de-
signed to acquaint the newly
designated delegates and presi-
dents- of Council-affiliated or-
Onizations with Council activi-
ties and services. Max Biber, co-
chairman of the 'internal rela-
tions committee, will preside.
The keynote address on the
theme of "The Jewish Dialogue"
will be de,livered by Rabbi M.
Robert Syme of Temple Israel.
Following Rabbi Syme's talk,
discussion groups will meet for
the purpose of examining mu-
tual problems.
