$50,000 Gift

ABRAHAM SRERE, presi-
dent of Sinai Hospital of De-
troit, smilingly accepts a check
in the amount of $50,000
from MRS. WILLIAM P.
GREENBERG, president of
the Women's Guild of the hos-
pital. This represents the
amount being spent for reno-
vation of the operating room
and recovery room suites at
the hospital. The check was
turned in as the climax of the
Women's Guild report at the
recent annual meeting of Sinai
Hospital and the North' End
Clinic.

9-Week Study Series

Hadassah have announced activi-
ties for the coming week.
EVENING GROUP will meet
1:30 p.m. Sunday at 18294 Lau-
der to celebrate the 100th birth-
day of • Henrietta Szold and the
holiday of Hanukah. Friends are
invited, according to Reva Mal-
amud, president.
BUSINESS AND PROFES-
SIONAL GROUP will celebrate
Hanukah 2:15 p.m. Sunday at
Hadassah House. The program,
commemorating the centennial
of Henrietta Szold, will feature
a movie depicting the work of
Youth Aliyah entitled "A Boy
Named Ami." A social hour will
follow, according to Ida Colten,
program chairman. Friends are
invited.
EVERGREEN GROUP will
hold an open board meeting 8:30

of JWF Young Adults

The Junior Division of the Jew-
ish Welfare Federation will hold
the third meeting of a four part
discussion series for young ad-
ults, Sunday.
Dr. Leonard Moss, associate
professor of sociology and an-
thropology, Wayne State Univer-
sity, and Harold Silver, director
of the Jewish Family and Chil-
dren's Service, will discuss "The
Family."
Fred Keidan, chairman of the
series, said that because of the
informal nature of the meetings
and the fact that they are held in
private homes, attendance is lim-
