Simon Liberman, who was
among the best known men in
the delicatessen business here,
died Dec. 1 at the age of 56.
His late residence was at 21970
Parklawn, Oak Park.
Funeral services were held
last Friday at Kaufman Chapel.
Surviving him are his wife,
Bertha; a son, Murray, eight
grandchildren and a sister, Mrs.
Morris Barley.
The deceased was a member
of Pisgah Lodge of Bnai Brith
and Kosseover Relief Society.
He was the owner of a popu-
larly-patronized delicatessen on
Dexter boulevard before estab-
lishing the present Liberman's
Delicatessen and Restaurant at
13821 W. 9-Mile, which con-
tinues to be operated by his
survivors.

A native Detroiter, he was
active in many movements, in-
cluding Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, and was an active mem-
ber of Shaarey Zedek.
Surviving him are his wife,

Katz, five grandchildren, two
brothers, Harry and Ruby, and
two sisters, Mrs. Herman Prince
and Mrs. Sidney Frank.

Mr. Blumenthal, 67, was a
