Israel Fashion Show to Aid Bond Drive Is Set for Dec. 17 . . LOLA BEER. Israeli fashion expert, will display • this two- piece gold brocade strapless evening gown, with white satin coat lined in gold brocade. It will be one of the gowns to be shown at the Fashion show Dec. 17. * * * The USA-Israel Fashion Fes- tival here on Dec. 17 will stress elegance and will show that Israel is making its mark in the fashion world. The fashion festival will be held in the Latin Quarter and will include a champagne hour, at which Israeli champagne will be served, starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 17, and Hanukah dance with music by Panchito. Claire Pearone will be the fashion coordinator. The display will feature origi- nal designs made from Israeli- produced fabrics by American and Israeli designers. The costumes of Israeli fa- brics to be shown here were designed by the famed Ameri- can houses of Ceil Chapman, Harry Frechtel, Vera Maxwell, Mollie Parnis, Pattulo-Jo Cope- land, Maurice Rentner, Scaasi, Adele Simpson, Pauline Trigere and Hannah Troy. Among the highlights of the fashiOn festival will be new couturier collections by Israel's renowned designers, Lola. Beer, Finy Leitersdorf and Lilly Schleifer, with a premiere showing of furs by Stefan Braun of Tel Aviv, handloomed origi- nals by Maskit, knitwear by Aled and rainwear by Matzkin. These original creations were premiered in Jerusalem, New York and Miami Beach and feature d in Mademoiselle Magazine. Besides a guest appearance by actress Sylvia Sidney, the show will also feature Robert Lurie, who will do a dramatic presentation entitled "The Bridge of Lights," symbolizing the bridge of friendship be- tween the United States and ISrael. The show is being sponsored by the Women's Division State of Israel Bonds. Dress is op- tional. Admission is open to all 1960 Israel Bond purchasers.
