Honor Cantor Goldring's Memory
with Recordings of 10 of His Songs

Judah Goldring had gained
fame as a cantor before coming
to Detroit. Here, in his '30s, he
married another distinguished
musician, Florence Weintraub,
and was a pop-

He was can-

children.
"His voice
lives on," his
family and
Cantor Goldring friends stated,
and a number of his songs have
been recorded under the title
"The Voice of Judah Goldring
Lives On."
The record has been made
available here. It can be pur-
chased from the Borinstein or
Spitzer Book Stores, and at Con-
gregation Beth Aarori, where he
was cantor while in Detroit.
Also, a close friend of the de-
parted, Cantor Nicholas Fenakel,
of Congregation Adas Shalom
has undertaken to distribute 20
copies of the record, and he h
expressed hope that friends
the late Cantor Goldring will
tain his record.

ring i n c 11.1 d e "Elu. Dvorh
("Timeless Possession"), "Mi
mor L'Dovid," ("The Earth Is
the Lord's . . ."), "The House
I Live In" and "B'Vet Hamik-

on the first side of the long-
playing record. The second side
includes: "U'Vchen Y'Hi Rotzon"

Be Restored") and "Birchas Ko-

His widow, who now conducts
a temple choir in Indianapolis,

accompanied her husband in the
recording of these songs.
The late Cantor Goldring was
a soloist in a leading choir at
the age of 8, and at 18 he was
cantor of the Prague Temple.
