German cities have purchased $1,-
000,000 worth of Israel bonds —
doubling their original goals —
according to word, received here
from West Berlin's Governing
Mayor Willy Brandt.
Mayor Brandt made the formal
announcement of the purchases
when he arrived here to partici-
pate in the congress of the Inter-
national Union of Municipal Auth-
orities at- Tel Aviv.
