Yeshivath Beth Yehudah's
_ dinner and shoW committee re-
ported at a meeting held at the
Labor Zionist
Building that
514 reserva-
tions already
have been
filled for the
annual event
to beheld at
Latin Quarter
Sunday, Nov.
27.
Daniel A.
Lave n, com-
mittee trea-
, surer, stated
Laven
that this num-
ber is only 86 short of last year's
attendance Of 600.
Laven stated, in an appeal on
behalf of his committee: "Our
annual dinner has always at-
tracted top attendance, and en-
tirely too much depends on its
success for us to allow it to fail.
In the remaining week we must
put the goal over the top. If
workers will proceed to confirm
outstanding reservations, our
success will be assured. We
especially appeal to those hold-
ing tickets who have not turned
in their reservation stubs. It is
essential that they do so at
once."
Laven said reservations can
be confirmed by calling the
Yeshivah office, WE 1-0203.
Morris Karhal, general chair
man, reported that Jackie Ma-
son's appearance on the pro-
gram—his first in Detroit—has
met with much enthusiasm.
Other participating members
of the dinner committee who
submitted reports at the last
meeting were Hyman M. Beale,
Milton Bernstein, David J.
Cohen, Isadore R. Cohen, David
Goldberg, Rabbi Moshe Greenes,
Jack Korman, Joseph Lee, Alex
