Anti-Defamation League Reveals
Bigotry of 2 New Parties on Ballot Security Incident

The Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith shortly before election
day released its study of Michi-
gan's third party movements.
Special attention was given to
two parties appearing on the Nov.
8 ballot for the first time—the
"For Tax Cut for God and Amer-
ica" party, and "The Independent
American Party of Michigan."
The "For Tax Cut for God and
America" party was described as
a party which "appears to have
taken up where former Detroiter
Gerald L. K. Smith's' America
First Party left off.
Among its candidates • were
Claude Buchanan Smith, 748 Van
Dyke, and Parzadia Parrish, 1527
25th. They ran for Representative
in Congress, and State Represent-
ative, respectively.
Smith has long been known to
the Michigan Anti-Defamation
League as a prolific publisher and
distributor of anti-Semitic pamph-
lets, including the vicious "Com-
munism is Jewish" flyer which he
published and distributed in huge
quantities.
Mrs. Parzadia Parrish is the
wife of L. B. Parrish, organizer
of the White Citizen's Council and
States Rights Council of Michi-
