A prominent figure in many vital community and civic en- deavors, Hyman Safran is vice president of the Jewish Welfare Federation, a member of the ex- ecutive committee of the Jewish Community Council, past presi- dent of congregation Shaarey Zedek and co-chairman of the big gifts committee of the Allied Jewish Campaign. A veteran of two years' service in the Navy as a Lieutenant, he is the past vice-president of the Jewish War Veterans Memorial Home Association and past com- mander of Sholom Post JWV. Highly regarded in the print- ing industry, he is a director of the National Printers Organiza- tion of America, and also serves as district chairman of the Citi- zens for School Committee and on the board of Sinai Hospital. He is a member of Sigma Omega and Norwood Country Club.
