Keywells Observe
50th Anniversary
A meeting of the Women's Division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation will be held at the home of Mrs.
Nathan W. Lurie, 17433 Westover, Southfield, starting
at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Estelle Meyers recently gave a shower for Maryl Sears, future
daughter-in-law of the Louis Abrams, former Detroiters.
Corrine .Lunenfeld of the Elkin Travel Service recently
departed for an extended trip to Europe and Israel.
Mrs. Sanford Klein, 19981 Briarcliff, a member of the Board
of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, will partici-
pate in the annual meeting of the board in New York City,
Oct. 26-27. Mrs. Klein is chairman of the committee on youth
activities in the department on religion and education.
The Junior Bodzin Family Club met last Sunday afternoon
at the home of Gerald Blitz, 17180 Greenlawn, and welcomed
new members Michael Seligson and Carol Duchan.
Undergraduates of the University of Detroit School of Den-
tistry, their parents, wives and sweethearts, and parents of the
alumni last Sunday attended the season's kick-off brunch of the
Alpha Nu Parents Club of the Alpha. Omega Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Philip Sherman reviewed the purpose of the group. The
brunch was held at the Labor Zionist Institute.
The Chi Chapter Parents Club of the Alpha Omega Dental
Fraternity met last night at the Madison Dental Supply Co.
The program, including guest speaker Irving Small, attorney at
laW, and a film presentation by Dr. Bruce Billes, was arranged
by Michael Bagdade, chairman. Hosting the event were Abe
Guyer, Joseph Gaba and Max Millman and their wives.
Two Michigan Heart Association staff members, Abraham
Brickner, 21970 Marlow, Oak Park, executive director and Ralph
E. Lewis, 9171 Sussex, Southeastern regional director, are at-
tending the annual meeting and scientific sessions of the Ameri-
can Heart Association, Oct. 19-25, in St. Louis.
On a coast-to-coast tour, the American Shakespeare Festival
Theatre and Academy of Stratford, Conn., will present at the
Shubert two plays starring Bert Lahr: "A Midsummer Night's
Dream," the week of October 31, followed by "A Winter's Tale,"
the week of Nov. 7. Twenty-one women of the greater metropoli-
tan area have _enthusiastically formed the Detroit committee,
which includes Mesdames Martin Butzel, Lawrence Fleischmann,
Aaron Gershenson, Edward Rothman and Alexender Wiener.
