Oldsmobile Division Puts Spotlight on Small Car at Automobile Show

Announcement of the newly
constituted internal relations com-
mittee of the Jewish Community
Council was made by Stanley J.
Winkelman, Council president
and Dr. Samuel Krohn and Max
Biber, chairmen of the internal
relations committee.
This committee is concerned
with the on-going relationships
within the Jewish community,
such as helping to regulate activi-
ties of meshulochim, preventing
establishment of muchroom syna-
gogues and similar problems, and
to arrange for special meetings
with the organizational presidents,
orientation meetings for Jewish
high school seniors about. Jewish
communal facilities and services,
and institutes for program plan-
ners. Committee members are:

Oldsmobile Division will unveil
one of the most striking displays
in its 63-year history today at the
National Auto Show at Cobo
Hall.
The Division will spotlight its
new smaller car, the F-85, along
with its completely redesigned,
restyled, and repowered Dynamic
88's, Super 88's and Classic 98's
for 1961.
Nancy Fleming, newly-crowned
Miss America of 1961, will add
further luster to the Oldsmobile
exhibit during the Auto Show's
first two days. Miss America, 18-
year-old beauty from Montague,
Mich., will serve as hostess for
the Oldsmobile display today
and Saturday.

of all three of Oldsmobile's basic
engines for 1961—the 250-horse-
power Rocket engine, standard on
the Dynamic 88, the Skyrocket
engine rated at 320 horsepower,
standard on Super 88 and 98
models, and the all-new 155
horsepower aluminum V-8 "Rock-
ette" engine for the F-85.
