engagement of their daughter,
Suzanne Barbara, to Dr. Jer-
ome Seymour Kaufman, son of
Sam Kaufman of Miami Shores,
Fla.
Miss Heller attended Michi-
gan State University and is
presently a senior at Wayne
State University studying music
education.
Dr. Kaufman received his un-
dergraduate training at Uni-
versity of Michigan and Wayne
State University. He obtained
his degree in osteopathic medi-
cine from the Kansas City Col-
lege. His post-graduate work in
ophthalmology was done in Eng-
land, France, Spain, and India.
A Dec. 21 wedding is planned.

Ruth Meckler, Detroit-born concert pianist, and her
husband, Jaime Laredo, concert violinist, will spend a
few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Meckler of Baylis Ave. The young couple has recently
begun an extensive concert tour of the U.S. and Canada,
and in January, will begin a six-week concert to
Europe. Early in March, Miss Meckler will
debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
