THOM, super- visor of the Library and Records Departments of the Goodyear Atomic Corporation, Ports- mouth, O., has been appointed director of libraries of Yeshiva University, New. York. W. E. Robinson, president of the Cabeer and Rishon LeZion breweries in Israel, is scoring a triumph in his race against the closing of the lakes. Less than two months ago he purchased the Goebel Brewing Co. plant here and started ship- ping it to Israel on Israeli Zim liners. This week, dozens of tanks for the Cabeer Brewery, at Bat Yam, Israel, were loaded on . the Zim Liner Yehudah, and the task undertaken by Robin- son is about to be completed. "We have won the battle," Robinson told a large group of bankers and communal leaders who attended a din- ner, Tuesday evening, aboard the Yehuda. "There will be two more shipments this month, and our next task will be in the reverse—to return here with a shipment of Cabeer beer for use by Detroiters." Among the leading person- alities who attended the dinner Tuesday were Milton Bosley and Gerald Dewhirst, vice pres- idents of the National Bank of Detroit, and several of their associates; Leonard N. Simons, Paul Zutkerman, Rabbi Morris Adler and their wives, Louis Berry and others—Jews and non-Jews—who are well known in the community. Robinson said he was grateful for the support he had received from the local bankers. He also commended Paul C. Allen, chairman of Riggers Union No. 575, and Edward R. Galli, presi- dent of Dearborn Machinery Movers Co., for assistance they had given him.
