The historic role played by
Winston Churchill in world
affairs naturally draws atten-
tion to him from all quarters
in the world. His frequent ref-
erences to Jews and to Judaism,
his share in his government's
activities in framing policies in
the Middle East gave him a
place of leadership in Great
Britain's dealings with the Zion-
ist movement.
Generally viewed as a staunch
friend of Jewry and of Zionism,
Churchill's position was unique
on many occasions. A distin-
guished scholar, Dr. Oscar K.
Rabinowicz, undertook the task
of evaluating Churchill's atti-
tudes in a serious study, "Wins-
ton Churchill on Jewish Prob-
lems." •It will be in twa parts,
the first just having been issued
by Thomas Yoseloff (11 E.
36th, N. Y. 16), as a 230-page
richly annotated book.
