Kippur Dance on Oct. 1
The 16th annual Yom Kippur
night dance sponsored by the
Greater Detroit Bnai Brith
Youth Organization will be held
on Saturday, Oct. 1, beginning
at 9 p.m., at Holiday Manor.

will furnish the music. Enter-

Federation Leads Tour
of Jewish Agencies
as Part of Course
Women attending a* Leader-
ship Training Course, sponsor-
ed by the Women's Division of
the Jewish Welfare Federation,
will take a bus tour of Federa-
tion agencies Monday.
The group will meet 10 a.m.
for a tour of the Esther Berman
branch of the United Hebrew
Schools, then visit Sinai Hos-
pital and have lunch at the
Jewish Home for Aged. Direc-
tors of the various agencies
will discuss the work of their
agencies and will conduct the
women through their buildings.

A special women's committee
has been organized to promote
the Balfour Concert sponsored by
the Zionist Organization of De-
troit, featuring the Israel Phil-
harmonic Orchestra, with Josef
Krips conducting, at the Masonic
Temple, Nov. 1.
Included in the 96 musicians
who make up this world famous
orchestra are five women musi-
cians—three violinists, a cellist
and a harpist.
Plans are being made for sev-
eral cocktail parties to honor
patrons and sponsors.
In addition to the women in

A depot for discarded sheets
to be remade into cancer pads
is to be set up in Northwest
Detroit by the Michigan Can-
cer Foundation. The depot will
be located in the Linen Closet,
19106 Livernois.
According to Leo Saltz, man-
ager of the Linen Closet, one
white double sheet will make
about 25 of the most common-
ly used bandages. Patients use
between two and six a day.
Pastel, print and striped sheets
are used for bed pads.
A symposium on the coming
Presidential election w ill be
held at a public meeting on
Monday, 9 p.m., at 17556 Wy-
oming. Sponsored by Berdichev-
Keshenev Aid Society, the sym-
posium will feature two local
attorneys, one Democrat and
the other Republican. Admis-
