Season Launched with
Weekend Activities
Youth activities will swing into
high gear this week-end at Cong.
Bnai Moshe, it was announced
by Mitchell Feldman, chairman
of the Youth Commission, and
Harry Mirvis, youth director.
Shabbat morning services will
begin for both youth and junior
congregations at 10 a.m. and
10:30 a.m., respectively, Satur-
day.
That evening the senior U.S.Y.
chapter will open its season with
a T.V. Party Night, featuring
games, • dancing, refreshments
and a welcoming back of all
members. Following the party
the chapter will attend Selihot
services. Planning this opening
event to which all yotaig people

The first meeting of the junior
U.S.Y. chapter will- be held at
1:30- p.m. Sunday in the board
room. A holiday program, paper-
bag dramatics, Israeli • dancing
and refreshments have been ar-
ranged by Sheldon C.ohen, Anna-
bel Greenbaum, Tobie Stein-
berger and Joel Welber. Youth
between the ages of 10 1/2 through
12 are invited to attend.

Rabbi Yaakov I. Homnick,
spiritual leader of Young Israel
Center of Oak-Woods, announces
the opening of the center's
youth activities for the 1960-
61 season. At a preliminary
planning rally, close to 100
children were divided into
teams and groups which will
meet at 3 p.m. Saturdays for
an oneg shabbat program, un-
der the direction of Mrs. Louis
Fein. Recreational and athletic
activities also have been planned
for children aged 4 to 14.
Supplementing the Saturday
afternoon oneg shabbat pro-
gram is the Sunday morning
Bar-Mitzvah Club. This group,
for boys aged 12-15, meets at
9 a.m., Sunday morning for
religious services followed by
a breakfast meeting. Junior con-
gregation services are held
Saturday and holiday mornings
at 9:30 a.m. under the direc-
tion of Seymour Kaplan. A
Kiddush reception follows the
services.
