Detroit Section Presents Roths Honeymoon
`Careers in Council' in
in [Vest Indies
Three-Part Series
Detroit Section of the Na-
tional Council of Jewish Women
will present a "Careers in Coun-
cil" series beginning 10 a.m.
Sept. 28 at the Council House,
8436 W. McNichols, with "A
Circuit of Council's Exciting Ac-
tivities All Over Town." Lunch-
eon will be served en route.
Hosts for this first event of
the series are Isidore Sobeloff,
Seymour Brieloff, Irwin Shaw
and Eugene Jaffe.
"Presenting Council's Person-
ality" will be presented at a
Coffee Klatsch session 12:30
p.m. Oct. 5 at the Council
House, wih "Top Leaders Tell
All at Roundtable' Talkfest" as
its theme.
"Peg Your Place," the third

by All Faiths
Rabbi Morris Adler, of De-
troit, was one of 100 American
clergymen and lay leaders of
all faiths who issued a state-
ment opposing "vigorously all
attempts to make religious
affiliation the basis of the vot-
er's choice of candidates for
public office." Such practice,
the statement declared, is a
"vicious practice and repugnant
to all honorable Americans"
because it sets "class against
class, race against race and
religion against religion."
The following set of princi-
ples was put forth by the sign-
ers as guides to voters this
year:
