Due to Rosh Hashanah, which commences at sunset
Wednesday, Sept. 21, there will be an earlier deadline
for the Holy Day issue.
All copy for next week must be in our hands before
3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.
All Classified copy must reach us before 3:30 p.m.
on Tuesday.
Our regular deadline is at 2 p.m. on Mondays for
editorial copy and at noon on Wednesdays for Classified
Ads.
There will be earlier deadlines for issues to be
published during the Sukkot weeks.

was the setting for the Aug. 24
candlelight wedding ceremony
of Linda Ruth Friedlander and
Alvin Donald Schwarz.
Mr. and Mrs. Friedlander of
Fairfield Dr., and Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Schwarz of Wisconsin
Ave. are the parents of the
newlyweds.
The bride wore a gown of
white silk taffeta, with a sabrina
neckline and empire bodice of
white peau de lange lace, with
a motif of tiny pears. Her veil
was a modified Queen of Scots
cap of white silk lace and silk.

Nancy Wayburn served as
maid of honor, and Mrs. Steven
Crane was matron of honor. Dr.
Marvin J. Schwarz served his
brother as best man. Elaine
Friedlander, sister of the bride,
was junior bridesmaid, with
Andria and Patricia Asarch and
Marlene Rosen serving as at-
tendants.
Ushers included William
Schwartz, Lawrence Kepes, Nor-
man Rosen, Bruce Goldsmith
and Michael Kent. Also in the
bridal • party was Carl Fried-
lander, brother of the bride,
who escorted his mother down
the aisle. Seating the guests
were Jordan Burke, Marvin
Portner, Richard Chosid, Philip
Gaberman and Stuart Frankel.
Following dinner and a re-
ception, the newlyweds left on
a Bermuda honeymoon. Upon
their return, they will reside
in Ann Arbor, where the new
Mrs. Schwarz will continue her
studies in the college of edu-
cation, • and her husband will
enter his junior year in medical
school.

These "Young Marrieds" will serve as usherettes at the
"Four Satellite Program" of the Detroit Chapter Brandeis
University Women's Committee on Oct. 4. They are (from left,

Bermanis in the garden of the
bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Chanin, on West
Outer Dr.
