The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Upfall of Steel Ave. was attended by his cousin, Mitchel Esterzon. Turkey-Israel Teams Plan Game Exchange ISTANBUL, (JTA) — The Turkish Foreign Ministry has given permission to the local Fenerbahche football club to exchange games with Israel's Hapoel club. This is the firSt time that such permission has been granted since the • cooling of relations between Turkey and Israel because of Arab pressure. The Hapoel football team is expected to play two games in Istanbul on Aug. 20 and 21. One will be with Fenerbahche, and the other with the Ferikoy team. The projects, to be carried out under the terms of the 1957 Syrian-Soviet Economic Cooporation Agreement, are designed to double the Syrian national income within 10 years. The most important project is the construction of a huge dam on the Euphrates River in northern Syria, which would provide water for the irrigation of 1,500,000 acres of land. The contracts will reinforce the posi- tion of the Soviet Union in the United Arab Republic. Washington Conference to Observe 10th Anniversary of Israel Bonds The tenth anniversary of the Ben-Gurion conference in Jeru- salem which gave birth to the Israel Bond campaign will be celebrated at the National Eco- nomic Planning Conference for Israel, to be held in Washing- ton, D.C., for three days, be- ginning Sept. 16, it was an- nounced by Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, vice-president of the Israel Bond Organization. Levi Eshkol, Minister of Fi- nance of the State of Israel, will report to delegates from the United States and Canada on the economic achievements made possible by the $450,000,- 000 obtained through the sale of State of Israel Bonds since May, 1951. He will outline Israel's development program and needs for the coming year. Israel's plans for the construc- tion of a new Mediterranean port at Ashdod and for the expansion of the ports at Haifa and Eilat will be discussed by Austin J.
