Rome-Ledger Rites
Solemnized Aug. 14

MRS. LOUIS ROME

Winifred Helene Ledger be-
came the bride of Louis Rome
in a double ring ceremony per-
formed by Rabbi Milton Arm,
Aug. 14, at Cong. Ahavas
Achim.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Ledger of Oak
Park and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Rome of Worcester, Mass.
The bride wore a gown of
embroidered nylon organza with
• a sweetheart neckline, fitted
bodice and short sleeves. A
bouffant skirt ended in a chapel
train. She wore a Swedish crown
with a fingertip French illusion
veil, and carried a bouquet of
stephanotis and white orchids
on a white Bible.
Mrs. Ted Alpert, the bride's
sister, was her matron of honor,
and Esther Margolis was maid
Of honor.
Attending the groom were his
aunt and uncle, .Mr. and Mrs.

essayist and writer for the Jew-

will be accompanied by his
wife, Ida, and daughter, Flor-
ence; Yehuda Bleich, actor and
drama director of the Milwau-
kee Jewish Center; and Dora
Kalinova, actress.
David Sislin, president of Dis-
trict 6, and Oscar Freedel, Dis-
trict secretary, have arranged
a seminar with these personal-
ities.
There will be lectures, con-
certs, special program devoted
to the memory of Theodor Herzl,
a Hayim Grad Jubilee and other
events.
Louis Segal, general secre-
tary of Farband, will be a spec-
ial guest at the seminar.
