This Israeli educational insti- 1 tution is a special project of I the Rabbinical !Council of:' America. It is non - political in nature, and is geared to serve the re- ligious and spiritual needs of modern Is- rael. "Its edu- cational p r o - gram is eager- ly sought after by Is- raeli youth, while it also trains teachers Rotenberg i and spiritual leaders to service the outlying kibbutzim and towns on a non- partisan basis," according to Rabbi Hayim Donin. It is lo- cated in Rehovot, next door to the Weizmann Institute of Science. On a recent tour of Israel, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rotenberg visited the institution and per- sonally participated in exercises dedicating the Library - Building in their honor. At a reception, Rotenberg will describe his experiences in Israel and share some of his impressions. Rabbi Meltzer, dean of the school who is now in the United States, will fly in for the reception. Information: a Julius Rotenberg to be Honored at Reception Aug. 23 —1131--51 Arthritis Quackery Bared In Public Affairs Booklet The cruel swindle of Amer- ica's arthritis sufferers is the subject of a new booklet, "The Arthritis Hoax—$250,000,000 in Fr au d s and Fallacies," now available from the Michigan Chapter of the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation (ARF). Duncan M. Laidlaw, executive director of the chapter, said the booklet is based on a recent re- port compiled by the ARF. This voluntary health agency cites the nation's 11,000,000 arthritis victims as "the most exploited group in the health field today." Allan, his co-chairmen, report that 13 Detroit congregations already have confirmed their participation in this year's ap- peal. These include- Adas Shalom, Ahavas Achim, Beth Abraham, Beth Moses, Beth Tefilah Eman- uel, Beth Yehudah, Ezras Achim, Mishkan Israel, Nusach Harie, Young Israel - Dexter, Israel- Greenfield, Young Israel-North- west and Young Israel of Oak Woods.
