Israel's tanker fleet is now able

Sephardi Federation Delegates
Meet with Generalissimo Franco

LONDON, (JTA) — General-
issimo Franco, the Spanish
Chief of State, met with a
World Sephardi Federation del-
egation to give consideration to
measures which would further
Spanish-Jewish culture.
The delegation went to Mad-
rid expressly to acquaint Franco
with plans for the establishment
of institutes in Spain and Israel
to meet this end.
A delegation spokesman said
that the Spanish chief of state
expressed his appreciation to
Sephardic Jewish communities
throughout the world for having
preserved "with so much care"
the Spanish language and cus-
toms and for their intention to
strengthen cultural relations
with Spain.
The delegation, in turn,
thanked Franco for the asylum
granted to many Jews in Spain
during World War II.

vestigations were conducted in
344 instances. •
The World Jewish Congress
charged that six international
anti - Semitic groups together
link bigots in 16 countries:
Austri a, Australia, Belgium,
Britain, Denmark, Finlan d;
France, GermanST, Holland, Italy,
Norway, South Africa, Spain,
Sweden,- Switzerland and the
United States. The six groups
are: -
1. The European New Order,
headed* by Charles Luca of
France, and based mainly on the
French Popular Movement, asso-
ciated with groups in Germany,
Italy, Austria and Belgium.
2. Swede Per Engdahl's Euro-
pean Social Movement, reported
to consist of 50 associated
organizations in 14 countries.
3. The Nordisk Association
With headquarters in Sweden.
4. The Northern L e a g u e,
headed. by Roger Pearson of
London, who has contacts with
anti-Semitic groups in the U.S.A.
as well as throughout Europe.
5. The "action associations"
of formef SS men mainly in
Europe who are also connected
with groups of Latvian, Estho-
nian, Ukrainian, Albanian and
Spanish exiles.
6. Legion Europa, established
in October 1959, in Vienna,
with support in Germany, Italy,
S p a i n, France, Belgium, and
Holland.
The World Jewish Congress
noted that Einar Aber g of
Sweden has been flooding many
foreign countries with his hate
material, as has Britian's Sir
Oswald Mosley "on a somewhat
more modest scale."

Israel Knesset Building
to Have Large Gallery

A large gallery, to accommo-
date 400 visitors, is part of the
plans for the new Israel Knesset
Building to be located in a 25-
ac:e park in Hakirya, the ad-
ministrative center in Jeru-
salem.
According to the clerk of the
Knesset, the new structure, a
model of which was unveiled in
Jerusalem recently, is a "blend
of classic and modern trends."
It is anticipated that construc-
tion will begin next year and
the building will be completed
in 1963.
