Jacob Pines and Israel Send- ler were honored for their life- long dedication to Zionism and their pioneering efforts on be- half of Jewish education, UJA, Israel Bonc:s and Jewish Na- tional Fund. A plaque bearing their names will be erected in the Michigan Room of the Kfar Silver Agri- cultural Institute in Israel, a project of the Michigan Region and the Zionist Organization of America. He met his wife, Rose, and became superintendent of a cigarette factory in Jerusalem. Then, at long last, they were able to come to America, ar- riving last week.
