Shiffman Clinic Dedication Sunday; Open
House June 7-8; Dr. Masur Guest Speaker

Shiffman Clinic Wing, the
new addition to Sinai Hospital,
successor to the North End
Clinic; will be dedicated Sun-
day, at ceremonies at the clin-
ic; 6767 W. Outer Dr., com-
mencing at 11 a.m.
Dr. ...jack Masur, Assistant
Surgeon General, U.S. Public
Health Service, and director of
the clinical center of the Na-
tional Institute of Health, will
be the guest speaker.
Abe Srere, president of Sinai
Hospital, and Melville S. Welt,
president of North End Clinic,
and other community leaders,
and spokesmen for the City of
Detroit, will speak at the dedi-
cation. The program will be
followed by an inspection tour
of the clinic and a social hour.
Additional open house in-
spection opportunities are be-
ing provided for the commun-
ity on June 7 and 8, 3 to 5
p.m.
Dr. Masur, the guest speak-

Landsmanshaften Fete
to Hear Brandwine
Sunday on Israel Trip

Key leaders of Landsmanshaf-
ten societies in Detroit, and
members of the societies who
have visited Israel since the es-
tablishment of the State, will
meet this Sunday, 10 a.m., for
breakfast, at Jericho Temple,
18495 Wyoming.
Morris J. Brandwine, local
business man, first vice-preSi-
dent of the Jewish National
Fund, and chairman of the
JNF Foundation, will convey
his- impressions of his first visit
to Israel. Brandwine spent sev-
eral weeks touring the coun-
try, making observations and
studies of the development of
many projects, especially those
sponsored by the JNF. Many
Detroit landsmanshaften groups
and individual members are in-
volved in a number of these
projects.
