dency of the Detroit Women's

Organization, at 8 p.m., June 5,
in the Student Center, of Wayne
State University.
Several Israelis who partici-
pated in the State's fight for
existence will present eye-wit-
ness accounts of the roles they
played in Israel's growth, follow-
ing World War II.
Folk dancing and singing will
be held after the program. The

NEW YORK—Label A. Katz,
chairman of the Conference of
Presidents of major American
Jewish organizations, an-
nounced here Wednesday that
the National Council of Young
Israel was admitted to full
membership as the 18th mem-
ber of the Presidents Confer-
ence.
Young Israel was founded 48
years ago in the United States
as a synagogue movement. It
has membership of 50,000 fam
ilies and branches in 15 states.
Elijah Stein, of Brooklyn, is
president of organization.
