We are privileged once again to welcome to our
community Israel's distinguished Foreign Minister, Mrs.
Golda Meir, whom we are proud to recognize as world
Jewry's Leading Lady. .

Long before the establishment of Israel, Mrs.
Meir dedicated herself to the ideal of redeeming Eretz
Israel and of establishing the Jewish National Home
for the millions of oppressed and harrassed Jews
throughout the world.

She received her education in the United States
and taught school in Milwaukee. At the age of 23,
having joined the American Labor Zionist Movement,
she went to Palestine with her husband.

Labor Council, she represented Histadrut in inter-
national conferences.

Since that time, Mrs. Meir made numerous trips
to the United States. She lectured here and helped raise
funds for the movement for Palestine's redemption.
