Hadassah Study Groups Air 'Zionism 1960' at Subscription Luncheon

Leah Crohn to Wed
June 5, in New York

All study groups of the De-
troit Chapter of Hadassah will
jointly sponsor their annual
subscription luncheon at 12:30
p.m., Tuesday, at the Jewish
Community Center, 18100 Mey-
ers.
"Zionism 1960—See It Now,"
the theme of the program, will
be narrated by study group
members. The changing pat-
terns and trends in Zionism
since the establishment of Is-
rael will be emphasized.
In the cast will be Mesdames
Harry Oberstein, Harry L. Jack-
son and David J. Schachter,
Rabbi Milton 'Arm, Max Chom-
sky and . Dr. Shlomo Tadmor.

ner, acting chairman of the
Zionist Council of Detroit.
Topic of the interview is "Prob-
lems and Prospects for Peace
in the Middle East."

Oak Park Nursery Sets
Meeting for Orientation

An orientation meeting of the
Oak Park Summer Cooperative
Nursery is planned for 8 p.m.,
May 31, in the Pepper School,
Oak Park, when Ruth Uhlmann,
nursery teacher will speak on
the eight-week nursery, which
opens June 20.
The school is for boys and
girls 3 to 5, and meets from 9
to 11:30 a.m., Monday, Wednes-
day and Friday. Mothers are
requested to attend monthly
meetings, drive in a car pool
and assist three mornings dur-
ing the semester.

age of their daughter, Leah
Gertrude, to Leonard Miaskoff,
son of Mrs. Rubin Miaskoff, of
New York, and the late Mr.
Miaskoff.
Miss Crohn holds a BA de-
gree in education from Wayne
State University, and has been
teaching in New York, where
she also has been leading solo-
ist in the Park Avenue Syna-
gogue.
Mr. Miaskoff is a graduate in
'engineering of Cooper Union.
The marriage will be solem-
nized June 5, at the Society for
the Advancement of Judaism in
New York, after which they will
take up residence in New York.
