to Install Mrs. Lasser,
The Women's Auxiliary, Jew-
ish Home for the Aged, will
hold its 35th anniversary cele-
bration and installation of offi-
cers ceremony
at 12:30 p.m.,
Monday, at
Holiday
Manor.
Mrs. Walter
Lasser will be
installed for a
second term as
president by Mrs. Lasser
Mrs. Morris J. Greenberg, in-
stalling officer. The meeting
will especially honor mothers
and daughters.
According to Mrs. Meyer Sil-
verman, program chairman, an-
other feature of the afternoon
will be a fashion show presented
by Goodwill Industries. A social
hour will follow.

Slate Membership Tea
A membership tea will be
held by the Sisterhood of
Cong. Mishkan Israel at 8:30

New York Show Award Dr. Zeki Berk, who has

Gaines has been awarded first
prize for sculpture in the
Temple Emanu-el Men's Club
fifth annual art exhibition in
New York.
The prize was awarded for
her work, "Form 16," a female
nude in terra-cotta. Her "Form
13," last year's winning. entry,
also was displayed at the art
show at the request of the com-
mittee.
Miss Gaines attended the De-
troit Society of Arts and Crafts
and the Greason Memorial
School. Her sculpture has been
shown in numerous exhibitions
and is represented in many
private collections.

Outing for Lag b' Omer
The annual Lag b'Omer cele-
bration of Hashomer Hatzair
will be marked by an outing
this Sunday, to Rouge Park.
Those attending will gather at
9 a.m., at the organization's

The festival, in addition to
commemorating the Bar Kochba
triumph against Roman tyranny,
also celebrates the 40th anni-
versary of the world Hashomer
Hatzair movement.
All groups of the organiza-

preparations for the Camp
Shomria season, which extends
from July 3 to 31, at Wilderness

Detroit Socialites will close
its current season with a caba-
