Mrs. Gourwitz Dies
10 Days After Husband
OBITUARIES
Mrs. Sylvia Gourwitz died
March 22 in Harper Hospital
after a lengthy illness. Death
came only 10 days after the
paSsing of her husband, Morris
Gourwitz, on March 12. He had
been a co-founder and treasurer
of the Lipson Super Market
chain.
Mrs. Gourwitz, of 13161 Kings-
ton, Huntington Woods, shared
her late husband's interest in
community affairs, and was a
member, with him, of Cong.

Born in Poland, Mrs. Gour-
witz had lived in • Detroit for
50 years. She was active in Ha-
dassah, Zedakah Club, Women's
Guild of Sinai Hospital and the
Jewish National Fund Auxil-
iary.
She leaves a son, Bernard;
a daughter, Mrs. Irving Levitt;
a brother, Julius Rosen; and
six grandchildren. •
