The annual membership meet-
ing of Cong. Bnai Moshe will
be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in
the synagogue social hall, when
a slate of officers and board
members, selected to fill
vacancies, will be elected.
The synagogue this week an-
nounced the appointment of
Harry Mirvis, of 21660 Kipling,
Oak Park, as youth director of
the congregation. In announcing
the appointment, Mitchell Feld-
man, chairman of the Bnai
Moshe youth commission, ad-
vised that Mirvis will develop
and direct the congregation's
youth activities.
Mirvis, who holds a BS de-
gree and master of social work
degree from Wayne State Uni-
versity, formerly was an assist-
ant regional director of the Bnai
Brith Youth Organization and
was youth director at Beth
Aaron Synagogue. He is a mem-
ber and past president of Rex
Lodge of Bnai Brith.
His immediate tasks will be
to organize a United Synagogue
Youth group, integrate the
Junior Congregation and other
activities into one body and ex-
pand sabbath services on all
junior age levels. In the latter,
he will be assisted by Joel Roth
and Calvin Weiss.
