`Adolescent Problems'
Is Topic of Series of
Mumford Parents Club

A series of four programs on
the theme, "The General Prob-
lems of Adolescents," will be
conducted by the Mumford Par-
ents Club, beginning April 4.
Dr. Stephen C. Cappannari,
of the Wayne State University
department of sociology and
anthropology, will speak that
evening on "The Dating and
Courtship of Teen-Agers."
Subsequent programs will be
"The Developing Self-Concept
of the Adolescent," Dr. William
Evraiff, WSU department of
guidance and counseling, on
April 28; Dr. William Watten-
berg, WSU professor of educa-
tional psychology, speaking
May 10 on "What Tests Can
Tell About High School Stu-
dents"; and Dr. Leonard Moss,
WSU sociology instructor,
speaking on "School and the
Culture of the Adolescent" on
May 24.
All programs will take place
at 8:15 p.m., at Mumford High
School. Tickets are available
from the co-chairmen, Mrs.

Is Sinai Visiting Chief

Dr. Priscilla White, of the
Joslin Clinic, Boston, and asso-
ciate professor of pediatrics at
Tufts Medical School, will serve
as visiting chief of medicine at
Sinai Hospital here on Thurs-
day.
The program will include a
clinical conference in the main
lecture room at 9 a.m.; a lecture
by Dr. White on "Juvenile Dia-
betes" at 10:45 a.m. and hospi-
tal, rounds from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
All interested physicians are
invited to attend.

Two Local Doctors
Named by Heart Ass'n.

Dr. Sidney E. Chapin, of De-
troit, was elected secretary, and
Dr. Moses Cooperstock, of Mar-
quette, was chosen one of the
vice-presidents of the Michigan
Heart Association at a recent
meeting of its board of trustees.
Dr. Ben I. Johnstone, a De-
troit heart specialist, took office
as president, and Alfred T. Wil-
son, vice-president of the Na-
tional Bank of Detroit, was
elected chairman of the board.
H. M. Golden, of Flint, was re-
elected to the board.

Detroit chapter, regent of the
sixth district, . served on numer-
ous national committees as a
trustee and marshal and was
national editor for the: three
years preceding his recent ele-
vation.
