Annual JWVA Fete
Features Fashion Show

A fashion show presented by
Goodwill Industries will high-
light the annual Good will
Luncheon presented by the De-
partment of Michigan Jewish
War Veterans Auxiliary.
The event, under the chair-
manship of Mrs. Harry Partrich,
will be held March 23, at the
Memorial Home. The traditional
luncheon is attended by mem-
bers of all sister veteran groups
throughout the state.
Mrs. Leonard Goldhagen, na-
tional president of JWVA, will
be principal speaker at the
luncheon, which will culminate
her three-day visit as the guest
of the Department of Michigan,
according to Mrs. John Nemon,
JWVA president.

Windsor Concert for Music Month

The fifth annual Jewish
Music Festival of the Windsor
Jewish Community Council will
take place at 8:15 p.m., Sunday,
in the auditorium of the Jew-
ish Community Center.
Being presented on Purim,
the last day of JeWish Music
Month, the concert will feature
Mrs. Leah Koven, wife of a De-
troit physician, as soloist. Ac-
companied by Bella Goldberg
at the piano, Mrs.. Koven will
present a repertoire of Hebrew
and Yiddish songs.
Through the Windsor Feder-
ation of. Musicians and a grant
from the Music Performance

Trust Fund, several prominent
Windsor musicians will appear
in the concert.
They include Sid Levine, con-
ductor and flutist; Lasse Pohj-
ola and Mrs. Victoria Hanson,
violinists; Ruth Pohjola, piano;
Celia Hardcastle, cello; Frank
Ugrits, viola; and Louis Zawad-
ski, clarinet.
The program will include
compositions by Alfred Pochon,
Fritz Kreisler, Julius Chajes,
Zinovi Bistritzky, Ernest Bloch
and Serge Prokofieff. Refresh-
ments will be served following
the concert by members of the
Sharona Women.

Cafe Galerie, 19940 Livernois,
