Communities Urged to Preserve Records BALTIMORE, (JTA)—An ur- gent plea to American Jews to set up committees to find Jew- ish re co rd s of "trials, the tragedies and the achievements" of the American Jewish com- munity emerged from the 58th annual meeting of the Amer- ican Jewish Historical Society. Dr. Bertram W. Korn, presi- dent of the society, said the creation of such committees was "a sacred responsibility" of the Society. Citing the disappear- ance of local records, Dr. Korn said that "our people can never learn their history and feel its drama and the understanding it teaches unless these sources are located and safeguarded." He reported that state or re- gional Jewish historical groups have been .set up in Michigan, Rhode Island. -a/nd California and that local 'groups- were be- ing organized in Chicago, Phil- adelphia and Baltimore. e THE FRIENDLY ~Wipe IS A RECOMMENDED MIAMI BEACH RESORT MOTELS INVITATION TO PARADISE MORE FUN at the NEW Completely Air Conditioned, ZTEC AIR CONDITIONED LUXURY RESORT MOTEL RESORT MOTEL 2 Swimming Pools, Shows, Movies, Games, Parties, Planned Entertainment.
