dent, and there will be solo
performances by Marilyn Lucas,
piano protege of Julius Chajes,
and Israel Hochberg, who will
play Israeli songs on the halil.

dra Ruth Miller and Dennis S.
Solomon for a Dec. 11 wedding
following • the recent announce-
ment of their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron
Miller, of Ilene Ave. Her fiance
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Solomon, of London Ave.
Miss Miller will graduate in
March from the Carnegie Insti-
tute. Mr. Solomon is attending
the Walsh Institute of Account-
ancy.

Bar Mitzvah of their son, Rich-
ard Sheldon, Saturday, at Young
Israel of Northwest Detroit.

Bagdade to Officiate
at Winter Olympics

Benjamin Bagdade, of 29141
W. 12 Mile, Farmington, left
this week for Squaw Valley,
Calif., where he will officiate in
the speed skat-
ing events of
1 9 6 0 Winter
Olympic
Games.
Bagdade, a
former skating
champion and
Olympic com-
petitor for the
United States,
is treasurer of
the 1960 Olym-
pic speed skat-
ing committee,
Bagdade
and has been
in charge of fund-raising for
the sport.
The winter Olympics, which
began this week, will continue
for two weeks. In the 1948
games in St. Moritz, Switzer-
land, Bagdade was captain of
the American Olympic skating
team.
Bagdade is a past president of
Temple Israel Men's Club.
