Mizrachi CARE
Passover Packages
to Needy in Israel

Zvi Tomkiewicz, executive di-
rector of Detroit' Mizrachi-
Hapoel Hamizraehi, announced
this Week that the organization
again will send CARE packages
to needy Israeli families for
Passover.
"This is a service to the com-
munity," Tomkiewicz said. "We
are cooperating with CARE in
order to enable many Detroiters
to assist needy families in Israel
with the kosher packages."
Last year, according to Tom-!
kiewicz. 700 needy Israeli fami-
lies were aided through the spe-
cial Mizrachi service. Those de-
siring to assist in this program
are asked to make their remit-
' tances, at S10 a package, to
Mizrachi, 17596 Wyoming.
The $12 CARE Israel Passover
package included the following:

Twenty- three kindergarten
pupils of Yeshivath Beth Ye-
hudah will graduate in special
ceremonies at 2:30 p.m. Sunday
at the Young Israel Youth Cen-
ter. Dexter and Fullerton. A
survey of their studies during
the year, including Hebrew
reading, will be presented. The
public is invited to attend. Re-
freshments will be served.
Registration is being taken
for the coming semester in all
branches of the Yeshiva. both
day school division and after-
noon classes.
A new program for high
school-age students is an-
nounced by the afternoon
schools, while registration also
is being accepted for ele-
mentary grades in all branches
of the Yeshiva: Dexter. at 12305
Dexter: Northwest, at Young
Israel of Northwest Detroit and
at Fitzgerald School; Livonia. at
Botsford School: and Oak Park,
operated jointly with Cong.
Bnai Israel in the- Peter S.
Goldstein Building on Nine
Mile Rd.
Day school classes are offered
at the Hebrew Academy in the
Goldstein Bldg. and at Cong.
Mishkan Israel. Classes from
nursery through high school,
including a post high school
curriculum for advanced
studies, are held at the main
center on Dexter. - Transporta-
