MRS. MARTIN IL NEWMAN
Temple Israel was the scene
of a double-ring ceremony Dec.
20, when Barbara Sue Chace ex-
changed vows with Martin H.
Newman. Dr. Leon Frain and
Rabbi M. Robert Syme officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chace, of
Appoline Ave. Mr. Newman is
the son of Dr. and Mrs. Max
K. Newman, of Woodston Rd.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a gown of pure hand-
clipped Chantilly lace, high-
lighted by a sabrina neckline,
studded with tiny iridescent se-
quins and seed pearls, with long,
tapered sleeves and a scalloped
lace skirt and train.
The crown was held by a
French silk illusion fingertip
veil. She carried white orchids
on a Bible.
Phyllis Newman was her
sister-in-law's maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Karen Sagas,
Mrs. Alan Seel and Mrs. Ronald
Mass.
Max Katz was the best man,
while ushers included Steven
Newman, Sheldon Chace and
Ronald Moss. Geoffrey Newman
was the ring bearer.
Also in the procession were
the bridegroom's grandmother,
Mrs. Rosa Rosenzweig, who was
escorted down the aisle by Don-
ald Newman, and the bride's
grandparents, Mr. a n d Mrs.
David Chachkis.
Out-of-town guests were from
Massachusetts and California.
Upon their return from an
extended honeymoon in Las
Vegas and Los Angeles, the
couple will reside on Santa
Maria Ave.
